Pyrotechnics

Pyrotechnics is a science about fireworks and ever possible pyrotechnic items: plural and single salute, fountains, land and flying fireworks, Roman candles, petards, bengal fires etc.

Salute is a military ritual which is devoted to significant events. It represents by itself a launching of pyrotechnical items with volleys.

Firework  is a process of launching of items with a certain sequence for creating art pictures. Nowadays, by saying “fireworks” people call any pyrotechnics (sometimes they say “a petard”,though a petard is only a small noisy charge). Up-to-date batteries of salutes(big amoung of salutes at one time) create just firework, in another words – art picture. To devide two different things(firework and another items) fireworks are often called “pyrotechnical show” or “fireworks realisation”.

“Cold” fountains do not either burn or set fire. They are usually used for decoration of platform for concerts. They correspond to fire safety and they are almost without any smoke.
